It’s Interesting
Medicine and Stanford Hospital and Clinics researchers discovered the beneficial effects of probiotics on enhance of weight-loss programs.
What os probiotic? This is food that contains live bacteria, which is considered beneficial and not harmful to humans. The first example of probiotic food was the introduction of acidophilus to milk, which in some cases helped people who had difficulty digesting milk to be able to tolerate milk better. The specific bacteria used in probiotic food like acidophilus milk is Lactobacillus acidophilus. Such milk was available in the 1920s, and yogurt predates it, but was not specifically supplemented for probiotic effects. How does bacteria look? I guess something like this:-)

Most probiotic food is fermented at least partially. A short list of probiotic food choices includes miso soup, some soft cheeses, yogurt products like kefir, sauerkraut and many pickles. Those who feel probiotic food is beneficial are now also interested in prebiotic food. It does not generally contain bacteria but appears to help healthy bacteria grow in the intestines. Prebiotic foods include Jerusalem and regular artichokes, oats, honey, many fruits, and goat’s milk. Human breast milk is also thought to have prebiotic properties that may explain why it so benefits the human newborn.
Many people add probiotic bacteria to their food or take it in capsule form. However, it is unclear how well probiotic bacteria work. Lactobacillus GG, one of the newest probiotics, has shown that it can survive processing by the gut and be especially beneficial to the colon. Not all probiotics have shown evidence that they promote better intestinal health. Some studies do show that eating yogurt during antibiotic treatment may help prevent diarrhea, and is beneficial in reducing risk of yeast infections in women.
Good Sleeping
What about good quality sleep that no doubt everybody needs to be fully alert, mentally sharp, creative and energetic all day long? In case you have difficulties to get a good quality sleep at night as I do here is some tips which I hope can help you to solve the problem. But first of you should consult with your doctor to check out on the course is not consequence of serious disease.
Well, don’t you know that approximately 93 million Americans are chronically sleep deprived and what about others – Franchises, Italians, Chinese at last? I guess we can be stricken by the statistic of that. Sleep is “for the brain, by the brain,” as they say. Meaning: as we drop off every night it’s our brain that runs the mechanism for sleep, not our body. And it’s our brain, not our body that needs the sleep. So, are you looking the ways of getting the sleep you need to be your best? If you want to get it you should to examining your sleep habits, environment and schedule? That’s exactly.
1. Improve your daytime habits
How can what you do during the day affect your sleep at night? Better sleep starts with good daytime habits, from when (and how often) you exercise to what you eat and drink.
2. Do regular day exercise can help sleep
You don’t have to be a star athlete to reap the benefits– as little as twenty to thirty minutes of activity helps. Also you don’t need to do all 30 minutes in one session: break it up into five minutes here, ten minutes there.
3. Forgot about alcohol, caffeine, smoking before you are going to bed.
4. Check out the bed you sleep on. It’s really important, it must be large enough. Hope, you have enough room to stretch and turn comfortably in bed as well. Consider getting a larger bed if you don’t have enough space. Your room should be quiet, dark and at a comfortable temperature and ventilation.
Also napping can interfere with sleep and here perhaps the English had the right idea in having teatime in the late afternoon when you naturally get sleepy. Some people can take a short afternoon nap and still sleep well at night. However, if you are having trouble sleeping at night, try to eliminate napping. If you must nap, do it in the early afternoon, and sleep no longer than about thirty minutes.

Keep Your Mind Up
There is no good physical health without good mental health and we note the mind-body health connection in the everyday life. But even though we know the two are linked, we are still more likely lookinf for help only in cases of depression or suicidal thoughts. Death, divorce, job loss, chronic illness – all situations we meet everyday can bring terrible distress into your life. People turn to diet after diet rather than deal with the emotional issues that lead them to overeat. They’ll treat the physical ailment that may have been forestalled if they’d sought help for the stress that preceded the illness. ‘We all have the extraordinary coded within us, waiting to be released’.
“In our time we have come to the stage where the real work of humanity begins. It is the time where we partner Creation in the creation of ourselves, in the restoration of the biosphere, the regenesis of society and in the assuming of a new type of culture; the culture of Kindness. Herein, we live daily life reconnected and recharged by the Source, so as to become liberated and engaged in the world and in our tasks.” says Dr. Jean Houston, well known scholar, philosopher and researcher in human capacities, she is a prolific writer and author of 26 books as well. She is one of the most visionary thinkers and doers of our time, one of the principal founders of the Human Potential Movement. You might like it or not but no doubt it’s interesting and very important to learn different things about the world and yourself taking part in conferences and seminars she leads worldwide. She sees through those who are charletans and hucksters, ripping people off with New Age drivel or playing on fear instead of engaging in loving play.
‘I firmly believe that all human beings have access to extraordinary energies and powers. Judging from accounts of mystical experience, heightened creativity, or exceptional performance by athletes and artists, we harbor a greater life than we know. ‘

What You Should Know About Products That Are Still Being Made With Asbestos
You probably know that asbestos is dangerous. It can cause diseases such as mesothelioma, a deadly lung cancer, and asbestosis, a debilitating disease that interferes with breathing.
You may have heard that asbestos is banned in the United States, but it isn’t. It is still being used in some kinds of flooring and roofing materials; in some automobile parts, such as brake pads; in some fireproof clothing; and in a number of other products. Should this be a concern?
Maybe. It is thought the danger is small, but small is not zero. And asbestos has been banned completely in many other countries. Why isn’t it banned in the U.S.?
Here’s the scoop: In 1989, the Environmental Protection Agency drew up regulations asbestos under the Toxic Substances Control Act. However, two years later, a New Orleans circuit court of appeal overturned the regulations. As a result of the court’s decision, a ban on new uses of asbestos remained in effect, but old uses remained legal.
Asbestos is a mineral that breaks into small fibers when disturbed. The fibers are dangerous if ingested and more dangerous if breathed into the lungs. There are two primary kinds of asbestos, called serpentine and amphibole because of the shapes of the fibers. Amphibole asbestos has been banned globally since the 1980s. It is considered the more dangerous type of asbestos because, if you breathe it, it stays in your lungs longer and causes more damage.
However, serpentine asbestos, especially a form called “chrysotile,” is still in commercial use in the United States and some other countries.
So, asbestos isn’t just something found in the attics of old houses. It might be in a product made this year. Which products should be a concern?
Auto parts, especially brakes or clutch linings. Major U.S. automakers say they do not use asbestos in their parts. However, “aftermarket” suppliers of replacement parts sometimes do use asbestos. If you buy “off brand” parts to save on auto repairs, there could be asbestos in the brake pads and shoes, clutch linings, and other “friction” car parts. Don’t assume asbestos isn’t in auto parts just because it wasn’t listed on a label.
Asbestos in brake pads or other parts shouldn’t be a danger to drivers or passengers. However, auto shop workers and home mechanics do risk danger of exposure to asbestos. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has guidelines for minimizing the asbestos danger of working with car parts.
Construction materials such as roof shingles, floor tiles, cement pipes and boards, caulking compounds, and joint cements. The asbestos in these products is unlikely to break away and become airborne with regular, day-to-day use. If these products someday crumble from age or disaster, however, cleanup crews should take care not to breathe the dust.
Fireproof clothing and protective gear. First, if you aren’t a firefighter, stay away from fireproof clothing or fire protection gear. Especially as the clothing and gear become worn, fibers could break away and get into your lungs. If you are a firefighter, wear respirator masks with approved HEPA filters when fighting fires or training in fireproof clothing and gear.
If you do work with such products, please don’t be complacent just because you feel fine now, keep your health seeking mesothelioma treatment. It can take many years for symptoms to develop after exposure to asbestos.

Good Few Extra Pounds
That interesting fact has been found during the study followed 11,326 adults in Canada for 12 years then published online in the journal Obesity June 18. A few extra pounds might bring extra years – overweight people were 17 percent less likely to die than those of normal weight. The risk for obese people was the same as for people of normal weight, the study authors noted as well. The findings do not mean that normal-weight people should try to pack on extra pounds, the researchers said.

“It may be that a few extra pounds actually protect older people as their health declines, but that doesn’t mean that people in the normal weight range should try to put on a few pounds,” said study co-author Mark Kaplan, a professor of community health at Portland State University.
“It’s not surprising that extreme underweight and extreme obesity increase the risk of dying, but it is surprising that carrying a little extra weight may give people a longevity advantage,” co-author David Feeny, a senior investigator at the Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Research in Portland, Ore., said in a Kaiser news release.
But Kaplan noted that there’s more to health than just living longer. “Our study only looked at mortality, not at quality of life,” he pointed out, “and there are many negative health consequences associated with obesity, including high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes.”
Being healthy involves more than body mass index (BMI) or the number on a bathroom scale, said Dr. Keith Bachman, a weight management specialist with Kaiser Permanente’s Care Management Institute.
“We know that people who choose a healthy lifestyle enjoy better health: good food choices, being physically active every day, managing stress, and keeping blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar levels in check,” Bachman said in the news release.
